As an independent educational consultant, Jennifer Stanton, M.A., helps match students and their families with colleges that fit them best. She uses a warm, collaborative and supportive style, emphasizing success and confidence and minimizing stress. Based in Southern California, she earned her master’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Teaching Writing and a certificate in College Counseling from the University of California, San Diego. She has additional training in learning differences from the Landmark College Institute for Research and Training. Her experience includes 10 years as an educator working with a variety of students, and she has a keen eye for storytelling honed from a 20-year career as a newspaper feature writer and editor, including as an editor at the Los Angeles Times.
